“Psychological Counseling Day” Organized at the Academic Lyceum

On December 19 of the current year, a “Psychological Counseling Day” was held at the academic lyceum named after psychologist Z. Khayrullayeva under the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, initiated by the lyceum’s Executive Director, M. Obidova.

The main goal of the event was to prevent cases of pressure (bullying) and violence among students, strengthen the protection of children’s rights, and create a healthy and safe psychological environment within the educational institution.

During the event, qualified psychologists provided students with detailed explanations about the types of pressure and violence, their psychological and social consequences, appropriate ways to act in such situations, as well as mechanisms for knowing and protecting their rights.

In addition, based on national legislation aimed at protecting children’s rights, legal information was presented regarding children’s rights to education, freedom of expression, and living in a safe environment. Psychologists also provided individual consultations to students and developed practical recommendations to address their concerns.

Psychological counseling sessions were also organized for parents and teaching staff, offering important advice on effective communication with children, reducing stress and anxiety, and early identification of signs of violence.

This “Psychological Counseling Day” contributed to ensuring students’ psychological stability, increasing their self-confidence, and fostering legal awareness. It is planned to organize such events regularly in the future.
