On October 29, the 29th meeting of the Scientific Council (DSc.03/30.12.2019. Fil.27.01) at the Uzbek State University of World Languages was held.
The meeting agenda included the defense of the dissertation by Muqadas Ikromovna Murodova for a PhD degree in Philology. Her dissertation, titled "The Distinctive Role of Satire in 20th Century English and Uzbek Literature (Using the Works of Evelyn Waugh and Abdulla Qahhor as Examples)," falls under the specialization 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies.
The dissertation, supervised by Bahor Bahriddinovna Turayeva, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor, was presented in the presence of Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, Rector of UzSWLU, members of the Scientific Council, official opponents, and other university officials.
During the discussion, the relevance of the dissertation topic, its contribution to science, the depth of research, and its scientific novelty were reviewed.
