The 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, held in France since 1985, is scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan for the first time, and in 2025, the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference is being prepared to be held in Samarkand.
In order to make this prestigious event worthy, among the many higher education masses, Uzbekistan State World Languages University was tasked with establishing cooperation with prestigious Brazilian universities. To this end, we reported that the delegation of the State University of World Languages of Uzbekistan left for Brazil on a business trip. On 27 November, a delegation from UzSWLU visited the University of São Paulo, which was highly ranked in Brazil's world rankings.
The University of São Paulo, ranked 92nd in the QS world ranking, was founded on January 25, 1934. The University of São Paulo, which currently educates more than 100,000 students, has trained many Nobel candidates, members of the National Congress, founders and leaders of famous Brazilian companies, individuals who have an important place in Brazilian society. Also, the University of São Paulo is among the largest research institutions in Brazil and more than 25% of scientific articles published by Brazilian researchers in high-quality conferences and journals are created by researchers from the University in question.
The delegation led by UzSWLU rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov was welcomed by Prof, Dr, Larissa Driemeier, Deputy Director of International Cooperation at the University of São Paulo.
As part of the visit, a meeting was organized between representatives of the two universities. In the conversation, signing mutual cooperation agreements with the foreign side, establishing the exchange of specialists and students, agreeing on the duration of the mutual visit; forming the composition of the delegation to be sent to the business trip; carrying out the business trip and organizing the established dual-purpose activities; providing information on the content of the 43rd session of UNESCO, Uzbekistan's initiatives; brief information on the history of our country, the great allomas and the reforms carried out today; mutual opinions were exchanged on the foreign side, such as participation in the events planned to be held in Uzbekistan.
It should also be noted that for the first time among the countries of Central Asia, UzSWLU established cooperation with this university. This famous university welcomed cooperation with our university in educational, scientific, cultural fields.
