The first joint professional development course between Uzbekistan and Indonesia successfully concluded
On June 13, the final award ceremony of the joint professional development course, organized in collaboration with Indonesia’s prestigious Gunadarma University, was held at the Sectoral Center under the Uzbek State University of World Languages.
The event was attended by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Uzoqboy Shoimqulovich Begimqulov, Director of the Institute for Retraining and Professional Development of Higher Education Staff, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I Made Wiryana, Head of the International Relations Department of Gunadarma University, Dr. Ichwan Suyudi, Dean of the Faculty of Language and Culture (online), Djamila Rustamovna Abduganiyeva, Director of the Sectoral Center for Retraining and Professional Development under UzSWLU, and other guests.
This joint program was organized in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. PQ-2909 dated April 20, 2017, and Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 415 dated July 11, 2024, with the aim of improving education quality, introducing modern pedagogical technologies, and adopting international experience.
The course, established based on the memorandum of cooperation signed on March 26, 2025, between UzSWLU and Gunadarma University, involved 13 professors and teachers. They enhanced their knowledge and skills in modern teaching approaches, integrating artificial intelligence into education, and using digital technologies during their stay in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia.
As noted during the event, such initiatives are important in aligning Uzbekistan's higher education system with international standards, enhancing the professional competence of teaching staff, and incorporating international experiences into the educational process.
At the end of the ceremony, participants received certificates and posed for commemorative photos.
