A seminar on inclusive education was scheduled to be held at UzSWLU on January 16-17, 2024, in cooperation with the British Council.
The seminar commenced on the first day with an introductory speech by the rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. During his speech, he addressed the progress made in promoting inclusive education in our republic, as well as matters concerning collaboration with the British Council and international organizations.
As described by J. Gulyamova, Deputy Director of the British Council, the projects "University Management," "Improving the Quality of Education," and "Inclusive Education" that were carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations and numerous state and non-state organizations provided details on the work conducted within the projects' frameworks.
On the subjects of "Inclusive education: international experience," "Inclusive university," and "gender issues," Mrs. Alex Hughs, a British expert, engaged in dialogue with the seminar attendees and imparted knowledge regarding the United Kingdom's standpoint.
Throughout the seminar, blind students studying at UzSWLU, including a researcher conducting scientific work on PhD, presented their perspectives on the field's current challenges and potential resolutions. Their ideas significantly impacted the attendees of the occasion.
Discussions ensued following the presentation, during which the audience listened to participant proposals.
Representatives from the United Kingdom acknowledged that the event was extremely effective and exciting.
