Effective Organization of Foreign Language Development and Teaching Centers

On November 19, 2025, another English club session was held at School No. 299 in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent City with the participation of N. Egamberdiyeva (professor), F. Ashurova (teacher), and XT2-2214 group student Yusupova Sevinch Bahromovna from the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology, Second Faculty of English, Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The session was conducted on the topic: “Learning the phrasal verb LOOK and its different meanings through reading and speaking.” The lesson was carried out as a pilot session in a variative group composed of 10th-grade students. The main purpose of establishing such variative groups is to strengthen students’ four core English skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) and help them obtain a B2-level language certificate by the end of the academic year.

During the session, students were given detailed explanations of the meanings of commonly used phrasal verbs such as look after, look for, look forward to, look up, and look into, their contextual differences, and their usage in speech. Afterward, students practiced correct usage of these phrasal verbs through small-group games, role-plays, reading short texts, and group discussions.

At the end of the lesson, students expressed their thoughts freely using appropriate phrasal verbs for given situations, actively applied newly learned words in conversations, and completed effective exercises aimed at enriching their vocabulary.
