On December 18, an international scientific and practical conference entitled “Issues of Translation in the Era of Globalization and Sustainable Development, Their Solutions, and Innovations in Foreign Language Teaching” was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University at the initiative of the Department of Practical English Translation of the Faculty of Translation Studies. The event brought together leading scholars, professors, and field specialists from national and international higher education institutions.

The conference was opened by the Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. Scientific presentations were also delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Translation Studies, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ulugbek Yuldoshev; Head of the International Cooperation Center of the Jumabek Tashenev University, PhD Shakhlo Naraliyeva; Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at the International Nordic University, PhD, Associate Professor Dilshod Nasriddinov; and Candidate of Philological Sciences, poet Gulshan Rahim.

The conference also welcomed international guests — Rasha Aldeeb from Egypt, Dr. Maya Gola from India, and Caroline N. Gabis from the Philippines — who shared their international experience in translation and foreign language teaching. The event was also attended by a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, writer and playwright Shakhodatkhon Isakhonova.

Within the framework of the conference, books authored by the prominent representative of Jadid literature, Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy, were ceremonially donated to the library of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. At the conclusion of the event, the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations of the university, PhD, Associate Professor Otabek Yusupov, delivered the final remarks, emphasizing the importance of further developing scientific cooperation and academic dialogue.
