The 5th Meeting of the Council of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages Held
On December 25, 2025, the 5th meeting of the University Council was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages. The meeting discussed pressing issues related to the university’s activities, the educational process, research work, international cooperation, and the performance of faculty members.
During the meeting, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov provided information on the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presidential decrees, resolutions and orders, government resolutions and orders, decisions of the Board of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, minutes and orders of the University Administrative Council, tasks assigned to the university, as well as the handling of appeals from individuals and legal entities, emphasizing the importance of their effective execution.

Legal and disciplinary matters — compliance with state and university regulations, maintenance of internal order, and handling of appeals.

Foreign official trips — procedures for sending faculty members and students abroad, maintaining the honor of the university and the reputation of the country, and ensuring responsibility and discipline in the international academic environment.

Admission results for the 2025/2026 academic year — final results of undergraduate and master’s admissions, student lists, and financial matters.

Executive discipline and organization of the educational process — reports on the fulfillment of tasks related to research activities, spiritual and educational work, and material and technical support.

Scientific research and dissertations — issues related to PhD and DSc dissertations of independent researchers and doctoral candidates, as well as matters concerning academic supervisors.

Scientific and innovative work plan for 2026 — approval of the university’s research and innovation plans.

Preparation of students and master’s students — plans for organizing research activities for gifted students and graduating classes.

Monographs and publications — recommendation of scientific works prepared by faculty members for publication.

Staffing and academic titles — awarding the academic titles of professor and associate professor, competitions for new positions, and procedures for additional remuneration.
Other issues discussed included internal regulations and organizational documents, changes in the educational process, the activities of the university’s information and resource center, and other organizational matters.
Appropriate decisions were adopted on all issues discussed, and their implementation was placed under supervision.
