Defending the Motherland Is a Supreme Honor and Responsibility

On January 14, a festive event dedicated to January 14 — Defender of the Motherland Day — was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages. The event was opened by the Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, who, together with faculty members and students, congratulated the young men on the occasion. The event was organized by the Faculty of English Philology.

 

 

As part of the program, Lieutenant Colonel Gʻaniyev Olim Hamidovich, Head of a department of Military Unit No. 71186 under the Ministry of Defense, delivered a congratulatory speech. In addition, military performances by servicemen of Military Unit No. 81140 of the Tashkent City Department of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan added a special vibrancy to the event.

The festive program also featured performances by students of the Republican Music and Arts Technical College, as well as by the orchestra of the Republican Institute of Public Security, which brought joy and high spirits to the audience.

During the event, video clips, poems, songs, and military performances dedicated to the defenders of the Motherland were presented. In particular, poems and musical performances prepared by students further enhanced the festive atmosphere. With the participation of the renowned artist and “Nihol” Award laureate, singer Bahriddin Zuhriddinov, musical pieces were performed, creating uplifting and memorable moments for the attendees.

 

 

At the conclusion of the event, the university administration expressed its gratitude to the guests by presenting letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts. The event served as a tribute of respect and honor to the defenders of the Motherland who safeguard the peace and tranquility of our country.

In addition, festive performances prepared by the university’s talented students and theater studios were showcased.
