Thorough Preparation for the New Academic Year: Student Dormitory Capacity Being Expanded
In accordance with Resolution No. 376 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 15, 2023, "On Measures to Improve the System of Providing Dormitories for Students of Higher Education Institutions," systematic and practical efforts are underway at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University to ensure a successful start to the 2025/2026 academic year and to establish a transparent and efficient student housing system.
According to this resolution, from August 1 to September 10 of the current year, a "Forty-Day Urgency Campaign" has been announced in all higher education institutions, aimed at promptly providing dormitory accommodations for students during the first days of the academic year.
In this regard, last academic year, the University, in cooperation with the private sector, established a modern dormitory with 100 beds near the campus, fully equipped with necessary facilities.
This year, it is planned to expand the dormitory's capacity to 200 beds, creating more spacious living conditions for students. The dormitory will be fully equipped with study and recreation rooms, high-speed internet, hot and cold water supply, fire safety systems, hygiene facilities, and other essential infrastructure.
The progress of the preparation work was personally inspected by responsible staff under the leadership of the university rector, Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov. The rector emphasized that expanding the current infrastructure is vital for students' social well-being and the quality of education.
The university administration expresses its gratitude to the private entrepreneur who actively cooperated in organizing and expanding the dormitory. Such public-private partnership initiatives will be consistently continued in the future.
