Faculty of Roman-Germanic Philology
History of the Faculty:
The Faculty of Roman-Germanic Philology was established based on the faculties of German, French, and Spanish Philology according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-1875 dated December 10, 2012, "On measures to further improve the system of foreign language learning" and Decree No. PQ-1971 dated May 23, 2013, "On measures to improve the activities of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages." Since September 2, 2017, the "Philology and Teaching of Foreign Languages: English Language" program was included in the faculty's curriculum, and since October 27, 2023, the evening education form for the "Philology and Teaching of Foreign Languages" (German, French, Spanish) program has also been added to the faculty.

Today, more than 1,548 students, both day and evening, are studying at the faculty. The courses are taught by 89 professors and teachers who are experts in their fields. Bachelor's Degree Programs:
Students at the faculty study French, German, and Spanish as their main languages, with English taught as a second language. In addition, courses in humanitarian, natural, and general professional disciplines are also offered.

Faculty Achievements:
Under the Erasmus+ (Credit Mobility) program, the faculty participates in 9 projects with international partner universities, such as the University of Córdoba, University of Rioja, University of Jaén, and others. Within the framework of these projects, faculty professors and students undergo professional development at prestigious universities.
In the Republic Science Olympiad held in September 2024, Amaliya Bakhromovna Karimova, a 4th-year student from the Department of Theoretical Spanish Language Studies, won 1st place in the Spanish language category. Sevara Doniyor kizi Pirnazarova, a 3rd-year student from the Department of Theoretical French Language Studies, won 1st place in the French language category.
