On March 29, the seminar continued at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages for translators who will accompany foreign guests and assist with translation at the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s 150th anniversary assembly.

The event was opened by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, who emphasized the important role and responsibility of translators at international events. He highlighted that volunteer translators must not only be proficient in foreign languages but also adhere to diplomatic protocol, communication culture, and guest escorting rules.

 

 

During the event, Shohrukh Daliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasized the significance of the upcoming assembly in Tashkent, which will host about 2,000 guests. He noted that the successful conduct of this event largely depends on the selfless work of the translators.

In today's seminar session, experienced specialists provided essential information on the role of translators in international events and the principles of effective work.
