2026-09-18 12-37 DELEGATION OF PORTUGAL’S AGENCY FOR ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION VISITS UZSWLU
Today, 16 September, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with a delegation from Portugal’s Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES).
The meeting was attended by João de Deus Santos Sàágua, Chairman of the A3ES Board of Directors; Raquel Santos, Secretary-General of A3ES; Luís Gouveia, A3ES Quality Assurance Consultant; and Asqar Narimonov, Chief Inspector of the Agency.
Representing UzSWLU were Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the University; A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation; Kh. Yuldashev, Head of the International Cooperation Department; L. Zaripov, Head of the Education Quality Control Department; and G. Rakhimov, Professor at the Faculty of Translation.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the organizational and financial aspects of the international accreditation of UzSWLU’s educational programmes, as well as accreditation procedures and mechanisms for their implementation.
The parties also exchanged views on quality assurance in higher education, the integration of international accreditation requirements into the educational process, and the development of further cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
